Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These are the terms for using Sambhaal. We've kept them in plain language. By using the service, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, message us and we'll explain.
1. What Sambhaal is
Sambhaal is a concierge and coordination service. A real, Punjabi-speaking person helps your family in Punjab with everyday, non-urgent things — understanding letters and bills, paying and arranging bills and errands, making phone calls, arranging local help, booking appointments, regular check-ins, and keeping an eye on a home or land. We work mainly over WhatsApp.
2. What Sambhaal is not
- We are not a doctor, hospital, or healthcare provider, and we do not give medical advice or medical care.
- We are not a lawyer or law firm, and we do not give legal advice. For property paperwork or disputes, we help and coordinate alongside your own lawyer.
- We are not a bank, accountant, or financial or tax adviser, and we do not give financial, investment, or tax advice.
- We are not an emergency service and we are not available 24/7. In an emergency, please contact a doctor or local emergency services.
3. Scams — what we can and can't do
If your relative is unsure about a call, message, or request, they can check with us first and we will give an honest opinion in Punjabi. This can help reduce the risk of being tricked. But we cannot promise that every scam will be spotted or stopped, and we are not responsible for losses if someone is tricked. The final decision to act on any message, payment, or request always rests with you and your family.
4. Money, bills, and spending
When we pay a bill or arrange something that costs money, we act on your instructions and with your approval. You set a small limit; anything above it, we ask you first on WhatsApp. Out-of-pocket costs — bills, local help, and similar — are passed on to you at cost. We keep a running record. We are not responsible for a third party's prices, errors, or delays (for example a utility company or government office).
5. Local helpers and other third parties
Some tasks need a local helper — for example a plumber, electrician, document agent, pharmacy run, or someone to accompany your relative. These helpers are independent people and businesses, not Sambhaal staff. We arrange them in good faith and with your approval, but we are not responsible for their work, conduct, or any loss or harm they cause. The same applies to WhatsApp, payment services, and any other outside service we use.
6. Property check-ins
If you ask us to check on a home, plot, or land, a local helper visits on a set schedule and sends dated, geotagged photos showing its current condition. This is a visual check only. It is not security, guarding, or insurance, and we cannot prevent theft, damage, encroachment, or disputes.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate information about your family and your requests.
- Make your own decisions about money, health, legal, and family matters — we provide help and information, not the final decision.
- Never send us OTPs, banking passwords, or card PINs, and tell your relative not to share these with anyone.
- Use the service lawfully and only for your own family.
8. What you pay
The account holder pays a monthly plan fee, plus any out-of-pocket costs at cost. Plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Beta prices are introductory; the regular price that will apply after the beta is shown next to each plan. We'll always tell you before a price changes. You can cancel at any time by letting us know, and your plan will not renew after that.
9. Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Limits on our responsibility
We do our best to help, honestly and with care. But to the extent the law allows, Sambhaal is not responsible for indirect losses, or for losses caused by third parties, scams, or events outside our reasonable control. Where we are found responsible for something, our total responsibility is limited to the plan fees you paid us in the three months before the issue arose. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms or the service as it grows. When we make important changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know on WhatsApp. We may pause or end the service for an account if these terms are misused.
12. Which laws apply
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where Sambhaal operates. If there is a dispute, we'll always try to sort it out with you directly first. (We are confirming the exact governing law and entity details with our advisers and will update this section.)
